Holly Tree is a very large neighborhood in the Simpsonville, SC area.  This neighborhood was started in 1972 and has had no significant new construction in the last few years.  Homes in Holly Tree range in square footage from 1800 ft.² to 5000 ft.².  There are a total of 530 homes in the master-planned subdivision.

While Holly Tree was originally envisioned as being a remote and quiet neighborhood, the Golden strip area has grown all around it and in fact it is now surrounded by the Holly Tree country club, other neighborhoods, including River Walk and several other neighborhoods of various price ranges, both above and below that of Holly Tree.

The Holly Tree Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course that was originally pasture land.  Members of the country club also get access to the community pool and 10 tennis courts.  The clubhouse is commonly used for wedding receptions and other social gatherings.

Residents of Holly Tree will typically attend Bethel Elementary, Hillcrest Middle School, and Mauldin High School
