South of Mauldin, Simpsonville is part of the so-called "Golden Strip."  Simpsonville has a quaint downtown area, with the iconic clock tower anchoring the shops and restaurants that make up downtown Simpsonville.  Most homes in "Simpsonville" are suburban neighborhoods that may or may not be near the downtown area.  In fact, it is possible to have a Simpsonville-listed home that is actually not in the city limits, but rather in Greenville County.
